We are your PREMIER total lawn and landscape maintenance company, specializing in professional, detail oriented, year-round maintenance. Our first and foremost concern is customer satisfaction, and to make our services as easy and worry free for you as possible. To ease the financial burden of professional property management, we exclusively offer "level-billing". Level billing is an annual rate for total lawn and landscape services, to be paid evenly on a monthly basis over the course of the year. History

Premier Lawns, Inc. was officially started in 1997, after 6 years of business under the name "Joe's Lawn Care." Joe acquired his first customer at 12 years of age along his paper route, starting out with a "push mower and a witch's broom." Initially, Joe was saving up money to buy a car when he turned 16, but inevitably, his business flourished. During his senior year at Lima Central Catholic High School, Joe was nominated for the 1996 West Central Ohio Entrepreneur's Award. After spending a short time at the University of Cincinnati, Joe realized his true passion was for his business. After 25 years of growth, Premier Lawns, Inc. now has 3 crews with up to 11 employees during the summer months, and serves nearly 250 customers in and surrounding the Lima area with a broad range of lawn and landscape maintenance services. Premier Lawns, Inc. is always striving for new and unique ways of serving their customers, to provide them with worry free, professional total lawn and landscape maintenance.

What is involved with turf management

Turf Mowing: Services to be performed as necessary (5-14 days depending on weather and growth conditions) which includes cutting all turf areas with appropriate sized machine, string trimming/edging all beds, fences, sidewalks and areas inaccessible by the mower, and then blowing the clippings and mower debris off the sidewalks, driveways, patios and out of the mulch beds. We will also pick up any branches or limbs that are in the lawn each visit.

Leaf Vacuum: In autumn when the leaves begin to fall, instead of piling them at the street, we offer 100% leaf removal from your property. We will vacuum the pile and take it with us! We offer this service because piles at the street often lead to a big dead spot in the grass, not to mention half the leaves blow back into the lawn to be cleaned up again. With the vacuum program the leaves are gone once and for all.

Core Areation: This service is performed in the fall to remove small cores of soil to reduce compaction and improve the ability of the grass roots to expand into the soil.

What kind of landscaping do you do?

Bed Edge & Prep: This service includes removal of unwanted vegetation such as weeds or grass that may be in the landscaping, and professional edging and shaping. This service redefines the mulch beds, and leaves them prepared for mulch application.

Mulch Application: We offer you the BEST dark, hardwood mulch. Mulch is evenly applied by our professionals to leave your beds looking beautiful and smooth, not clumpy and uneven.

Bed Guard: This service includes annual maintenance of your mulch beds, including a pre-emergent application in the spring (before the weeds can pop up), mulch areation/tilling (or "fluffing"), and applications as necessary over the course of the summer to control weeds.

Bush & Tree Pruning: We offer professional pruning and clean-up. This service includes trimming, cutting, and shaping of bushes or trees, and also includes clean-up and removal of any and all debris.

Plant Fertilization: Slow release tablets are placed at the base of the plants in your landscaping during the spring, and over the course of the season slowly feeds the plants.

Do you provide pest and weed control?

We offer a 4-step professional fertilization and weed control program to keep your lawn looking deep green and healthy for the season. We can do dry applications as well as spray applications.

Our 4-step fertilization program includes:

Step 1.) Crabgrass Preventer + Fertilizer (Performed in early spring)
Step 2.) Weed Control (Performed in May, as dandelions begin to pop up)
Step 3.) Fertilization-Nutrient Application (Performed in late spring)
Step 4.) Slow Release Winterization Application (Performed in fall)

Do you offer snow removal services?

We are a year-round company, providing 100% snow removal and salting services. We are on standby 24/7 during the winter months, even on Christmas and New Years. At Premier Lawns, Inc., we remove snow from ALL hard surfaces, including walks, driveways, and door steps. Some companies only clear what they can reach from the warmth of their trucks, but it takes a little more to be PREMIER. We also provide salting services, and because salts can damage areas such as concrete or asphalt if the wrong type is used, we have researched the salting industry. We use different salts for different surfaces, to ensure you that we will not damage the surface on your property. Please call one of our professionals before the storm hits, so we can make sure to have your driveway cleared as soon as possible.

We love to hear your visions of paradise right in your back yard. We will provide consultation on your ideas, give our expert suggestion, and implement your dream based on your needs and budget.
